Validate your greenhouse gas emission reduction projects for UN approval

Validation is the process of ensuring accuracy and completeness of proposed emissions reporting systems and project design documents (PDD) and is required for the registration of greenhouse gas emissions reduction projects with the UNFCCC.

Validation ensures that the project will result in real, measurable, and long-term emission reductions and establishes the scale of the greenhouse gases that will be offset year on year to meet the requirements of the CDM Executive Board.

Once validated by the Executive Board, the project can move into the production phase.

The complexities and risks in establishing carbon-offset projects are significant and our experience as a global leader in environmental management and greenhouse gas emissions reduction work enables us to provide expert validation services for CDM.

If you are seeking a competitive quotation for validation of a CDM project, please get in touch.

If you’re already one of our clients and have various standards in place, your Client Manager can help you assess where you are now, and guide you through the validation process.

If you’re new to BSI, don’t worry - it’s still a simple process.

1. Make contact

Get in touch and tell us what you need, so we can sort out the best services for you. We’ll give you a proposal detailing the cost and time involved in validating your CDM project.

2. Meet your CDM team

We’ll assign you a Client Manager, who will be your main point of contact through the process – and beyond. They’ll know your area of business well and will support you as you apply for registration to the UNFCCC’s Executive Board and, if your project is eligible, when you come to verify the CERs.

3. Consider training

Whether you’re a project developer or you’ve bought into a CDM project already in production, there are a range of relevant and helpful workshops, seminars and training courses available.

4. Review and audit

We’ll do a desktop review of your project design documents, and identify any omissions or weaknesses that need resolving before submitting your project for registration.
